Japanese sake, also known as nihonshu, is an aspect of Japan food culture that gets a lot of attention, with sake brewers taking immense pride in the work that they do. If you have ever been curious about how Japanese people make this delicious drink, then the Toshimaya Sake Brewery Tour is perfect for you. It is one of the oldest sake breweries in Tokyo, the perfect place to learn about the long history of Japanese sake. As you tour the brewery, your local guide, the sake expert will help you understand the process of making sake, from start to finish. After that, there will be sake tastings for you to try different kinds of sake. There are fresh sake which you can only buy at the brewery. You can also always ask the sake expert if you have questions. Please make sure you arrive 10-15 minutes early for this tour so that you do not miss out. No refund will be provided if you arrive late to the tour; it will start on time regardless of your attendance. The minimum drinking age is 20 years and above in Japan. Alternative drinks will be served for participants who are below 20 years of age. Meet inside the brewery shop at the Toshimaya sake brewery directly (must arrive before 11am) 5 to 7 sake bottles to taste depending on season and availability. The brewery tour is only available on Saturdays from 11am on the site so make sure you send in inquiry to confirm your booking with payment link. If you are not available on Saturdays, consider booking Tamura Sake Brewery tour instead.
